CHIPBOARD

We source only the best quality, locally manufactured A-grade chipboard for resale as well as all our own manufacturing and upgrades.

Also called low-density fiberboard or particleboard, these are engineered wood products made from processed wood chips and binders which is then put under pressure, extruded and cut into sheets.

Chipboard is generally denser, more uniform and also more cost effective than normal wood or plywood and is usually the preferred choice when strength and appearance is not as big a factor as keeping costs to a minimum.

We upgrade our chipboard with both melamine and laminates in order to offer you one of the widest board choices in the local industry.

​

Chipboard is ideal for interior use, and where exposed to moisture it should be shielded by either laminate or melamine and suitable edging on exposed sides.

​

Common uses are cabinets, carcasses, paneling, kitchen tops, home- and office furniture.
